Who are you, Patrick Ricco?

 The Creative Park of Beau Plan will host WHO ARE YOU, an art exhibition dedicated to the work of artist Patrick Ricco up until the 30th of April 2023.  What’s in store?

With a profusion of colors, an instinctive and impulsive trait, Patrick Ricco’s universe is like a surfboard riding on the waves of his paintings. In this fantastical world where personal experiences and imaginary stories intertwine, his self-taught and boundless imagination invites us to dive in.

But who is Patrick Ricco? Because no one ever told him it was impossible, he dared to dream and create. From a young surf enthusiast to a talented artist and famous tattooist, he has lived a thousand and one lives. All it took was a spark, one of those happy chances in life, for his path to cross that of Gaelle Gonzalez and her faithful Octopus, which led to the project of an exhibition.

A few weeks later, we find ourselves in the Creative Park Workshop, which has been entirely set up with the help of Wheel & Barrow to offer a warm, inviting scenography that beckons us to enter the artist’s universe.

From one painting to the next, Patrick Ricco gives himself fully, whether it’s an inspiring encounter with a young lemonade salesman or a personal interpretation of Jimi Hendrix. He shares his thoughts and visions through colors and words, sprinkling clues here and there to make us accomplices in the story he tells. It’s up to us to seize them!

And as for the surfboard that sits on the wall between three works, one thing is certain: it’s not just there for decoration. No, it’s a reminder to let ourselves be carried by the present moment and our instincts, like sliding on a wave.
