Le Hameau: a residential project which bears well its name

A haven of peace and tranquillity. This is how Laura and Hubert Koenig describe Beau Plan after living there for 10 years. Having been among the first to settle in the new residential area Le Hameau last July with his family, Hubert Koenig is more than ever seduced by quality of life in Beau Plan and the various advantages provided by the Smart City.

What have convinced him? Firstly, the idyllic environment comprising of vast green spaces, secondly, its ideal location at only fifteen minutes away from Port-Louis and its pleasant climate. Finally, the gradually growing neighbourhood, which gives Hubert and his family the opportunity to meet new people.

Apart from living in the heart of Beau Plan, Hubert benefits from another privilege: his workplace is only a few meters away from his home. Employed at Novaterra since three years as Development Manager, he considers it an advantage to work close to his home. Laura, being a real estate agent, works mainly from home and appreciates the peaceful surroundings.

“We are not far from vibrant places like Port-Louis and the north of the island, and yet, we avoid traffic jams. We therefore have more time to spend together.’’

Le Hameau, which is currently under construction, will in a few years accommodate 62 houses. According to Hubert, the construction guidelines ensure an harmonious development of the area allowing it to retain its cachet while at the same time offering some flexibility to owners to personalise their house.
