Electric cars increasingly popular in Mauritius

According to the National Land Transport Authority, there were over 21,000 hybrid vehicles and nearly 700 electric cars in circulation as of April 2022. This growth is partly due to encouraging measures implemented by the government to promote the transition to greener energy consumption.
