Mon Rocher Stables: Horse Riding for all ages!

We often hear that there is a certain time for everything, but should horse riding be limited to a certain age?Mon Rocher equestrian centre, thinks otherwise. In the shade of the hundred-year-old banyan trees, you can start riding from the age of 3! And if you think you’re too old to get back in the saddle, think again: “There is no age limit, no particular physical requirements”, underlines the instructor Aiden Jouana-René.

Riding could even be considered as the ‘ ‘fountain of youth” as the benefits on the body and mind are numerous! Opened 3 and a half years ago, the club is growing steadily. It now hosts 85 mounts. From purebreds to ponies, there is something to suit every level.

The setting is inviting and family-friendly. Afternoons are filled with budding riders, with beginners coming to try out and the more experienced ones coming to improve their techniques in dressage, acrobatics and show jumping. In addition to the courses for children
and adults, many activities are offered. These include riding, horse ball, pony football and competitions. The club also has a restaurant and a mini-farm
