What was Beau Plan before it became a city? In this ongoing series, we invite you to reconnect with the past and gain a deeper understanding of the heritage that defines Beau Plan’s essence.

In this latest installment, we explore the Beau Plan Business Park, which was once a series of warehouses used for storing sugar from the factory.

With its contemporary architecture, peaceful, tree-lined setting, and historic stone walls, the Beau Plan Business Park attracts both local businesses looking to establish their offices and visitors who enjoy a delightful lunch break at La Cantine de Beau Plan, its renowned restaurant.

But did you know that this area was once a warehouse? Adjacent to the sugar cane processing factory (now transformed into the L’Aventure du Sucre museum), this warehouse was refurbished by Novaterra in collaboration with the architecture firm Valentin Lagesse to give it new life. The storage spaces have been converted into modular offices, blending contemporary architecture with the industrial materials inherited from Mauritius’s sugar era, creating a uniquely charming environment.

Covering nearly 6,000 square meters across four blocks with a 140-space parking area, these former warehouses have been completely transformed. Adding a tranquil touch to the environment, at the heart of the four buildings lies a large water feature surrounded by palm and mango trees, shaded by a magnificent flamboyant. It’s an ideal work setting to inspire creativity, boost productivity, and foster meaningful professional connections!
