Held for the first time this year, The Strand Run will bring together Beau Plan’s sports enthusiasts on Friday, June 13, for a 6-kilometre run through the city. Ready, set, go!
Balancing work and wellness? It’s possible in Beau Plan!
Through its “Work in Beau Plan” philosophy, the city encourages businesses and their teams to adopt a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. With its mixed-use urban layout, Beau Plan combines office spaces with a wide range of sports and leisure activities, allowing everyone to thrive in their own way. It’s a new way of enjoying urban spaces in Mauritius.
The Strand Run: A new race
To take this commitment further, the city is launching a brand-new initiative this year, led by Adrien Piegrieche, Property Administrator at The Strand: The Strand Run, scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025. Spanning 6 kilometres, the course winds through the city and its surrounding areas. Open to all tenants of The Strand offices and Beau Plan Business Park, the run invites individuals or teams to (re)discover the beauty of the city and push their limits through sport.
The race promises to be both active and relaxed, with a dual objective. As Adrien explains:
“We want to strengthen the bonds between office tenants in the city—people who work here every day but don’t always get the chance to connect with their neighbours—and also promote workplace wellness. We’re lucky to have an exceptional environment around us, and we want everyone to enjoy it during this event.”
Months of preparations
Behind the event are nearly three months of preparation by Adrien and the team. Several companies based in The Strand offices have volunteered to sponsor the run, offering goodies and prizes to participants—including an eco-designed medal for the winner!
Free to enter, the race includes a personalised bib, a free t-shirt, and a refreshment station at the finish line. A day filled with adrenaline and great camaraderie awaits!
