Celebrating its 9th edition this year, the Mama Jaz music festival returns in an exclusive format to Beau Plan’s Creative Park, much to the delight of jazz enthusiasts.
For nearly 10 years, the Mama Jaz festival has been delighting Mauritians by celebrating creativity and diversity through a lineup of cutting-edge jazz performances. From flagship events featuring prominent figures in the industry to more spontaneous gatherings in relaxed settings promoting community spirit, the festival brings together enthusiasts, families, and groups of friends each year seeking a unique experience in Mauritius.
Beau Plan, a proud partner of Mama Jaz
For several years now, the town of Beau Plan has supported the festival by hosting part of its lineup. Benjamin Gilot, Cultural Project Manager, shares: “It is important for us to support events like Mama Jaz, whose values of creativity and sharing align with those of Beau Plan. The format and programming offered will appeal to a wide audience, and we look forward to experiencing these moments alongside the residents of the region.”
This year, the Mama Jaz gatherings in Beau Plan will take the form of enjoyable Sunday picnics. From noon to 6 p.m., with free access, families and groups of friends are invited to set up on the grass under the park’s large trees to enjoy an open-air concert with an enthusiastic lineup. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own picnic.
