At the beginning of July, Mahogany Shopping Promenade welcomed a delicious new addition to its shopping gallery — the Pains et Moulins bakery! We went to try it for you.
As always, Mahogany Shopping Promenade is filled with a peaceful atmosphere when we arrive early in the morning. Our destination: the brand‑new Pains et Moulins store, its second in the north of the island, to see if it lives up to the name! No surprises here: its croissants, salads, and other sweet and savoury delights remain true to the recipes that have built its reputation across the country, from Grand Baie to Tamarin.
But what truly sets this new location apart is the setting. Just a few steps from Beau Plan’s lake, its tables invite you to enjoy a well‑deserved break with a latte and a pastry. Close to the water, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful moment before starting your day.
From morning to evening, the new bakery welcomes visitors of all kinds: the loyal baguette lovers picking up their bread in the morning, the busy ones grabbing a sandwich or a healthy salad between two meetings, or the students who, after school, treat themselves to something sweet before tackling their homework.
